Christ Reaching Asia Mission
As a congregation grows to more than 100 in rural Mindanao, people begin to pray for land and begin saving money to plant a new church. Smaller churches are simple buildings built on a dirt foundation, with bamboo used for siding and steel for the roof. Churches work together to complete the building in a few days and are relatively inexpensive to build.
In more populated areas, CRAM Worldwide has provided funds to build more permanent churches, made with a cement foundation, built with cement block and are fully enclosed.
There are now 33 churches in Mindanao, Philippines, where Pastor Franz and 10 trained men lead in worship and discipleship among the people who are hungry to know Jesus Christ.
“After flying almost 1,000 miles and riding through a dark field in a full van for 3 hours, we turned a corner, and more than 400 leaders from the Mindanao churches were engaged in celebratory worship. They gather quarterly for several days of worship, Bible teaching, leadership development, fellowship, prayerful encouragement, and celebration of what God is doing.
This picture was taken without my knowledge, as I was seeking the heart of God for his help. I was desperate for strength and sustaining grace to encourage these church leaders in Mindanao.
